Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from unconscious bias or diversity training?
Recent research and figures suggest that unconscious bias and mainstream diversity training does little to change the actual experiences of People of the Global Majority in and outside of the work place. in fact, it has found to contribute to the sense that this work is “done” or “completed”.
Additionally, the lack of self-reflection and experiential learning in such training often means that people see racism and oppression as something that happens outside of themselves rather than exploring how they may knowingly or unknowingly be contributing to this.
The work we do encourages and teaches individuals and organisations to take accountability for their roles in achieving and maintaining equity and justice.
Who can benefit from this training?
We believe that everyone, irrespective of their titles or roles within an organisation can benefit from learning how to become anti-racist and contribute to a fair and safe working environment,
That being said, we do not believe it is necessary for people from racially minoritised backgrounds to attend these sessions. Instead, we would recommend the wellbeing sessions.
